Hui Yun Boo is Ironshore’s Asia/Pacific Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Branch. Ms. Boo is responsible for overseeing business growth and product development of Ironshore specialty lines in the Asia/Pacific region that spans offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and Shanghai.
Ms. Boo, a
recognized industry executive, led corporate business expansions, integration and operational development initiatives for leading insurance companies in the Asian market for more than 20 years. Her professional expertise focuses on building teams and developing strategic initiatives to drive business growth and profitability, business and operational integration, implementing enterprise risk management systems and managing financial and regulatory controls throughout multiple platforms. She has directed various offshore initiatives by establishing underwriting offices in China, India and the U.A.E. Prior to joining Ironshore in 2015; Ms. Boo was Chief Financial Officer for Catlin Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
Ms. Boo is a fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is a Chartered Insurer of The Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). She also holds a Diploma in Business Studies from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore. Ms. Boo is a member of the Ironshore International Pace Leadership Team, which is responsible for delivering a sustainable economic model to realize profitable growth of Ironshore’s International division.
