IAN COOK became Chief Executive Officer and was elected to the Board of Directors of Colgate-Palmolive Company, a multi-national consumer products company, in 2007 and became Chairman of its board in 2009.He was named President of Colgate Palmolive, a position he still holds, in 2005.
Cook joined Colgate-Palmolive in the United Kingdom in 1976
and progressed through a series of senior management roles.In 2002, he became Executive Vice President, North America and Europe.
In 2004, he became Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for operations in North America, Europe, Central Europe, Asia and Africa, and in 2005, he became responsible for all Colgate-Palmolive operations worldwide. Cook also serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations: Catalyst; Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; and New Visions for Public Schools.
