A fifth generation Texan and native Austinite, Ian feels strongly that Texans must join together to take back Texas beer. Ian started TBC in 2015 after working for non-profit groups and political campaigns for 15 years. He believes in the importance of customer service and investing resources in grassroots outreach. He has many years of staff
management experience, including managing the central US region from Texas to North Dakota for the Sierra Club. He wants to ensure that TBC is a good steward of the land and respects the agricultural roots of the brewing process. He is married to Amy Everhart and together they have two boys: 4-year- old Reed and 2-year-old Hayes. Reed & Hayes will lead the root beer brewing department at TBC.
