Born in Russia, Mr. Leviton came to the United States when he was 20 years old. He was the donor of a five-story pavilion costing several million dollars at the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn which he served as president for 12 years. A building was named in honor of Mr. Leviton and his wife at the Jewish Chronic Disease Hospital of Brooklyn. He also
played an important role in the founding of a chair in Hebrew at New York University and of the Chicago Medical College.
