Jack led Application Security, Inc., as President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board from inception through 2008 and from 2011 to 2013. In late 2013 he led the company to positive exit via a sale to
Trustwave.
During the hiatus from AppSecInc, Jack ran VaporStream, a patented, confidential messaging service.
In the past, Jack ran sales at Authentica, an application encryption software venture, and at SafeNet, Inc. a publicly traded encryption technology company that provided chips and software to fuel the VPN equipment marketplace.
Jack was also the 14th employee of Raptor Systems, one of the first firewall companies. At Raptor, Jack built the global sales channels. After Raptor IPO'd, Jack was installed as the Vice President/General Manager European Operations, and created Raptor's European organization in Amsterdam. Jack has held sales management positions with Network Systems and with Motorola / Codex, and flew jets in the USAF.
Jack earned a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the United States Air Force Academy.
