Dr. Chomas received his Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from Duke University and completed doctoral training at the University of Virginia, investigating the use of ultrasound in breast cancer characterization.
He has 12 years experience in developing devices from initial concept through pre-clinical trials and clinical trials, and he has
authored 17 patents in medical devices.
In five years with Siemens Ultrasound as Senior Engineering Manager, Dr. Chomas led a team of engineers and released six product features.
Most recently, Dr. Chomas was the Director of Research at Cabochon, where he led the engineering team in the research, development and pre-clinical testing, which ultimately culminated in a 35-patient clinical trial.
