James George is CEO and Co-Founder of Scatter, a company dedicated to defining the emerging language of Volumetric Filmmaking. Scatter creates original virtual reality experience and creative tools. The company's first virtual reality title Zero Days VR puts viewers in the perspective of the Stuxnet virus on its way to sabotage a nuclear
facility in Iran. Zero Days VR was adapted from Alex Gibney's feature documentary Zero Days, and is nominated for a 2018 News and Documentary Emmy. James is co-creator of Depthkit, Scatter's first software product, which empowers filmmakers to create their own volumetric experiences using the equipment and workflows they already know from video production. Prior to Scatter, James was a practicing media artist. His work has been exhibited at Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Barbican in London, Ars Electronica, Sundance New Frontier, and Tribeca Film Festival Storyscapes. He was also the first artist in residence at Microsoft Research in Redmond, Washington.
