Jim has more than 40 years of design and management experience in the areas of scientific development and business operations. His operational responsibilities have included leadership of laboratory operations in nuclear and mixed waste areas and environmental services. While involved in technology start-up companies, Jim has also been
responsible for manufacturing, developing quality assurance programs for compliance to Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Department of Energy requirements, managing company activities to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and managing major government contracts involving federal research and development programs. He also served as a commissioned officer in the US Air Force in control of ballistic missiles, and has invented or co-invented several patented technologies.
Jim received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry from the University of Arkansas.
