James Xiaodong Liu

has led the preparation and establishment of Sailing Capital International Investment Fund since June 2011. Mr. Liu led and participated in the design of the fund, communication with Central Bank and Central Ministries as well as fund raising. It took less than 4 months for Sailing Capital to complete first phase fund raising. Sailing Capital becomes the biggest international RMB investment fund, pioneering in the private equity industry.

While he worked as the Vice General Manager at the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Mr. Liu managed numerous financial innovations in recent years including product innovation, international business and market expansion. He was also responsible for market monitoring systems to ensure the operation of secondary market in fair conditions. He has accumulated extensive project resources and networks including regional finance ministry, listing office, National Development and Reform Commission, Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and investment banks. He also led and established the database for thousands of pre-IPO companies.

Mr. Liu has extensive operation and management experience in major capital markets worldwide before returning to China. He traded variety of securities including stocks, bonds, futures and other derivatives with annual transaction volume over tens of billion dollars. He had excellent transaction records and reputation in Wall Street, and extensive experience in Hedge Fund and Global Asset Management.
