Jay has been an executive at American Aerogel since 2007. Jay is a co-founder of Mount Royal Ventures, a family office venture fund that is one of the key investors in American Aerogel.
Prior to American Aerogel, Jay was VP of Corporate Development at Boston Private Financial Holdings, responsible for mergers, acquisitions, capital planning and
corporate strategy. Prior to his work at Boston Private, Jay interned at Fidelity Investments as part of the Finance Leadership Program.
Jay started his career as a structural engineer, designing and building precast concrete structures as well as concrete and steel buildings across the US and Canada. Jay has a BS and MS in Engineering from McGill University and a Masters of Business Administration from Babson College.
