Jeff is an energy and cleantech industry leader and serial entrepreneur. As CEO of Veloce Energy he is creatnig the FastGrid(TM) platform, grid edge technologies that accelerate electrification across transportation, buildings and utilities. In his former role as President, Americas, for Tritium Pty, he was responsible for all activity in the
western hemisphere including sales, marketing, and manufacturing for Tritium, a global manufacturing leader in DC fast chargers for electric vehicles. While at Tritium Jeff successfully executed a 10 month turn around, hiring completely new management and increasing sales over 20x primarily to new customers, significantly strengthening customer service and satisfaction, and revitalizing the brand in North America. He also executed a five year supply agreement for North and Central America with a major global electrical hardware corporation. Most recently prior to Tritium, Jeff worked at a supermajor oil and gas company assisting in reworking a portion of their clean energy strategy, co-leading a venture investment and assisting with others, sourcing an acquisition, and leading innovative project development. Previously, Jeff was Senior Vice President of Strategy at Just Energy Group, Inc, where he created and ran the strategy department including new product introductions. Jeff also has consulted on business, products, microgrids, vehicle-to-grid, storage, and PV development. His clients spanned major US utilities, technology startups, and African solar developers. In 1998, Jeff co-founded and was CEO (until 2012) of groSolar, the first nationwide US solar energy residential, commercial, and utility scale development and EPC company, where he remained as Chairman until its sale in 2016 to EDF Renewable Energy, where it remains an independent operating group. In 2011 Jeff negotiated the sale of the residential division to Solar City and restructured groSolar to achieve profitability. Jeff has served on the Union of Concerned Scientists National Advisory Board since 2005. For over a decade, he held various positions as a board member of the Solar Energy Industries Association. He has lobbied in the US Congress and state legislatures, and has had bills he has created passed into law. Prior to groSolar, Jeff was a Partner in a national engineering firm, providing services for over $1 Billion of construction. He designed cogeneration, laboratory (international award winning), healthcare, academic, and commercial facilities. Jeff has a BSME from Cornell University, and is a Registered Professional Engineer.
