Jerry Wagreich, the visionary behind iPayed™, is a native-born Hawaiian Pacific Islander minority. His deep technological interests and marketing experience led him in the early 2000s to recognize the deficiencies in the U.S. payment system with respect to financial inclusion for the 63mm+ underserved population and the need for real-time payments
and settlements. From his years of study of the U.S. banking and payment systems, he, together with input from regulators, bankers, lawyers, and IT specialists, designed the patented iPayed™ “Closed Loop and Open Loop” real-time ePayment system.
He is an inventor and designed, fabricated and built one of the earliest aerial photography, camera gimbal stabilized multi rotor drones. He founded Prestigious Entertainment®, a company that encompasses various aspects of the entertainment industry, including a record label geared towards R&B, Hip Hop, Latin, Dance and Reggae -- genres of music that have many fans who are unbanked and underbanked. In connection with motion picture production and marketing, he is a member of the Motion Picture Union (IATSE -- International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts). He has designed and built a state-of-the-art music, motion picture production and editing facility. Through Prestigious Entertainment®, he has extensive marketing experience, particularly as it applies to marketing to the unbanked and underbanked demographic.
iPayed™ eBank N.A. is a Fintech start up on its way to getting a national bank charter and will provide, through a proprietary patented cloud-based ePayment system, digital U.S. dollar-based, cost-free, real-time settlement ePayment services and a deposit account to the unbanked and underbanked, who are underserved by traditional banks, enabling them to participate in the “eConomy.”
In the works for many years, iPayed™ has been developed in a manner that is fully consistent with payment system guidance and initiatives of the Federal Reserve, which has provided advice and recommendations in this development.
The iPayed™ Public/Private National Bank Initiative has a unique marketing and onboarding strategy, with Prestigious Entertainment® acting as the marketing engine for iPayed™, targeting the financially underserved.
