Joe Ahearn grew up in New York City, and was raised by artists. I've been working for the last decade helping start and manage art spaces, music venues, and galleries, as well as present projects, at community-based organizations as scrappy as DIY spaces like Silent Barn, Showpaper, and Death By Audio to as well established as Pioneer Works,
Knockdown Center, or Roulette. I worked for almost six years as Program Director for Clocktower, New York’s oldest alternative arts project.
