John B. Rhea is a Partner at Centerview Partners and a Member Board of Directors and Chairman of the Compensation Committee at Invitation Homes.
Prior to that, he was the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Chairman of the Board. Appointed to the position in 2009 by Mayor Bloomberg, John Rhea oversees the largest public housing authority in
North America, providing decent and affordable housing for over 630,000 New Yorkers with low- and moderate- incomes within the five boroughs.
John Rhea has over 20 years of corporate experience, having served as both an adviser and senior executive at a number of the world’s leading corporations. Most recently, he was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Barclays Capital and served as Co-Head of the Global Consumer & Retail Group. Recently John Rhea has tackled NYCHA's repairs backlog, working with the Mayor's office to produce a plan to eliminate outstanding repair requests and reduce the wait time for future repairs, by 2014.
