John Mufich has 30 years' experience in diverse industry assignments at large multinational companies deploying information technology.He comes to Bloom Energy from First Solar where he was the CIO and scaled the IT organization to meet the demand for renewable energy solar panels. During his tenure, revenue grew from $500M to $3 Billion. John
was responsible for the deployment of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that enabled cycle time and cost per watt reductions while increasing module efficiency.
In addition to this manufacturing core competency, John deployed World-Class IT solutions that enabled the streamlining of business processes through large secure enterprise deployments including SAP, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics, Maximo, Planview, Remedy, and Wonderware for SCADA at Solar Plants.
Prior to joining First Solar, John was General Manager of Supply Chain Management, Production Control and Chief Logistics Officer at New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI), a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and General Motors. In addition John was General Manager of Information Technology/CIO at NUMMI. John has held various Management and Executive Positions with Space Systems Loral in Palo Alto California, Northrop-Grumman, Ball Aerospace, and General Motors-Hughes Electronics.
John received a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, a Master of Science Degree from Northrop University, and a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Argosy University. John serves on the governing board of Phoenix area CIO's.
