John D. Roberts is the co-founder of comiXology and a pioneer in digital comics. Prior to launching comiXology, John led Marvel’s first digital comics initiative, “dotComics,” in the early 2000s where he also created the precursors to today’s motion comics. John has over 20 years of experience in the tech field, working with such diverse group of
companies as Pepsi, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Sunoco, DC Comics, Disney, Pokemon, National Geographic, Touchstone, Nickelodeon and Lionsgate. Currently John works closely with leading and emerging comics creators in unique and innovative ways to continue innovating the digital comic experience. John also spearheads comiXology Submit, a self-publishing portal that enables independent creators to reach comiXology’s global audience of comic book fans. John holds a BFA in drawing from Kutztown University. John’s currently reading Aquaman from DC Entertainment.
