John Swindle is the co-founder, President and CEO of CompleGen, Inc. in Seattle, WA and co-inventor of the Company’s core XenoGene technology. Previously, Dr. Swindle was a Member of the Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI), from 2000 to 2004, and the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute (SBRI), from 1996 to 1999, both in Seattle. He was
also on the faculty of the Department of Pathobiology of the University of Washington School of Public Health, from 1996 to 1999, and was Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, from 1987 to 1996. After receiving his degree from the University of Utah in 1982, Dr. Swindle carried out postdoctoral studies at the University of Washington, the Institut Pasteur (Paris, France) and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Seattle, WA) where he elucidated the roles of complex genome organization and RNA processing of regulated gene expression in parasitic protozoans.
