Tang is the Founder and Chairman of Vastrm.com, an apparel company solving the problem of fit. Vastrm was part of the Y-Combinator Summer 2012 batch.
Prior to founding Vastrm. Tang was Managing Director of RedRooster Ventures, an seed investment and consulting firm that specialized in China based business opportunities.
As Founder, President
and CEO, Jonathan Tang helped build Salesnet to represent one of the top global enterprise software providers that was one of the three founding companies in the on-demand CRM market. At Salesnet Tang was responsible for helping to shape web CRM strategies for clients such as Microsoft, Staples, American Express, First Data, Sovereign Bank, Tellabs and many other enterprise companies. Salesnet was recognized on two occasions as one of the top 50 companies to work for in Massachusetts. Recently, Salesnet was acquired by RightNow Technologies, Inc. (RNOW).
Balancing a successful business career with supporting the community, Tang is actively involved with charitable activities throughout the Boston area. He has offered his time and support to the Boston Living Center, Barbara McGinnis House, St. Mary’s Women and Childrens Center and Rosie's Place. Tang currently sits on the board of directors for the Art of Living Foundation, one of the largest volunteer-based humanitarian NGO’s in the world that is active in over 150 countries.
Tang's influence on the industry and local business, as well as his contributions to the civic health of Greater Boston, was recently recognized by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ). The publication named Tang a 40 under 40 honoree, acknowledging 40 Greater Boston executives under 40 years of age.
Tang earned his B.A. in International Relations and East Asian Studies from Tufts University and studied musical theory and practice at Berklee College of Music.
