Joseph Paresi is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Defense and Security Solutions, IDSS Holdings, Inc. Joseph Paresi brings over thirty-five years of executive management, product development, and engineering experience in the technology, security and defense industries.Prior to IDSS, Joseph Paresi was the co-founder and senior
partner of L-1 Investment Partners which led to the formation of L-1 Identity Solutions, Inc (NYSE:ID) where Joseph Paresi was Executive Vice President. L-1 Identity Solutions was sold in 2011 to Safran Corporation and BAE Systems.
Prior to joining L-1, Joseph Paresi was part of the founding team of L-3 Communications, Inc. and served as Corporate Officer and Corporate Vice President of Product Development and as President of L-3 Security & Detection Systems from 1997 to 2005. During his tenure, Joseph Paresi was responsible for founding the company’s Security Systems Division, which grew to 1,000 employees. His group was responsible for developing many advanced products for the Homeland Security sector, including the eXaminer 3DX 6000 TSA Certified Explosive Detection System product and the SureScan Body Scanner.
Joseph Paresi served as Corporate Director of Technology at Lockheed Martin from 1996 to 1997, and served in the same capacity at Loral Corporation from 1994 to 1996. Joseph Paresi spent over 16 years prior at Loral Electronic Systems as a senior design engineer, director of marketing and director of programs.Joseph Paresi is also an advisor to ERUCES Data Security, Security Identification Systems Corp. (SISCO) and Secure Point International, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Checkpoint of the Future Expert Team and a member of the Board of Regents for the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies. Joseph Paresi holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College, Program Management Degree at Defense Systems Management College and MBA in Finance from the Pace University along with Top Secret/ Special Compartmental Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
