Judith Sim is chief of staff to the Office of the CEO and senior vice president of marketing and communications at Oracle Corporation and currently leads the corporate events, analyst relations, and public relations organizations within the company. She started her career at Oracle in 1991 and has held various customer-focused and marketing
positions throughout her tenure with the company. Judith Sim graduated from the University of California at Davis with a bachelor of science degree in dietetics. Judith Sim’s customer-focused roles have allowed her to help Oracle users to adopt each new technology and transform their businesses. In an interview with Interbrand, she explained her relationship with Oracle’s customers, saying, “Our customers come from every industry, and each industry is undergoing unprecedented and fundamental change. As these customers transform with new business models, new products, and new services, those changes inspire and inform not only the products and services we create, but also how we communicate and work with them.” Throughout her time at Oracle, Judith Sim has had the opportunity to speak at numerous Oracle events. She has given the opening keynote address each year since 2015 at Oracle’s largest event and one of the biggest technology events in the world, Oracle OpenWorld. Judith Sim has also participated in a panel discussion with Jennifer Storms at Oracle College Hire Program and in 2019, she spoke at Oracle Modern Customer Experience (MCX). Judith Sim is an advocate for the Oracle volunteer program, Oracle Corporate Citizenship, in which Oracle employees regularly participate in volunteer events in their communities. “While the achievements of our customers are paramount,” she explained, “we don’t stop there. Oracle employees are committed to making a difference in their communities. Last year alone, Oracle volunteers gave more than 100,000 hours of their time to local causes in more than 50 countries. We also built a high school at Oracle headquarters, where our employees have spent more than 2,000 hours volunteering to help students.” Outside of her work at Oracle, Judith Sim has been a member of Fortinet’s Board of Directors since 2015 and serves on two committees within the board as Chair of the Human Resources Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. She is also an active part of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, an organization focused on creating a dynamic, inclusive community for San Francisco citizens. As a result of Judith Sim’s career at Oracle and work within her community, she has been recognized by multiple organizations. In 2012, Judith was named to BtoB Magazine’s (now owned by Ad Age) “Top 25 Best Marketers List,” and in both 2015 and 2016, she was named by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business.” Judith Sim was chosen as one of 2017’s “Top 50 Multicultural Leaders in Technology” and, in 2019, was named to the “Most Influential Corporate Board Directors” list by Women Inc.
