Prior to joining the Infinia ML founding team, Jun served as Principal Research Statistician Developer for SAS. Other experience includes time as a Research Scientist at Siemens Corporate Research, Postdoc/Research Scientist at Arizona State University, Associate Professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Principal
Scientist at Didi Chuxing. Jun owns 50+ papers with 3000+ citations and 11 US patents for his work in medical imaging and machine learning including his work developing the SLEP package, a custom algorithm used for large scale structured sparse learning. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in China. When not solving complex math problems, Jun likes running and spending time with his two young sons, one of whom wants to be a mathematician, just like his Dad.
