Karthik Rajan is an EIR at Storm Ventures where he is focused on building healthcare companies that leverage the power of SaaS, big data and cloud.
Earlier, Karthik spent 2 years at Oracle, where, as the VP of Engineering, was responsible for the product and engineering for big data platform services in the cloud, including Hadoop, Spark and
streaming.
Prior to Oracle, Karthik rose through the ranks at Salesforce starting out in and scaling the Data Platform team. He then helped create the Infrastructure engineering group and served as its first VP of Engineering. During the 6 years he was there, he helped scale the service from a few million transactions a day to over 3 billion.
Karthik is an active mentor, startup advisor and investor in the field of big data and infrastructure. He is passionate about leveraging the power of technology to improve the quality of life of seniors.
Karthik has a Masters from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelors from the University of Madras.
