Previously a Co-Founder of XenSource and principal author of the Xen hypervisor, Keir brings his passion and expertise for designing lightweight but powerful software to Coho Data in his role as Chief Architect. He continues to be the lead maintainer of the Xen hypervisor, and leverages his deep background in virtualization to help drive the
technical architecture for Coho Data's approach to the software-defined datacenter.
As a world-leading virtualization expert and the lead maintainer of Xen, Keir has advised major chip vendors on how to best support virtualization in their architectures, and has frequently provided expert consulting on the application of virtualization in emerging datacenter products. Keir was previously a faculty member of the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory. His doctoral work on multi-processor concurrency received the 2004 British Computer Society Distinguished Dissertation Award.
