Kevin is a domain expert in the practical applications of terrestrial radio transmission. He began his career in wildland fire as an engine crew leader, hotshot crew, heli-rappeler, and smokejumper. He has managed terrestrial VHF radio system for 1.5 million acres of US Forest Service public lands. Kevin spent over 15 years working in the ICS,
where he has designed and implemented ad-hoc emergency radio communication systems during wildland fires and all-risk incidents. Kevin earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University, where he focused on RF design.
