Kiran Malwankar is the Founder of Pavilion Data Systems and brings extensive experience in flash memory systems, PCI express architectures, as well as storage area networking. Prior to Pavilion Data, Kiran was Director of Hardware Engineering at Violin Memory, where he led the team responsible for the development of Violin’s next-generation flash
controller architecture. Prior to Violin, Kiran led the hardware engineering team at Aprius, a provider of PCIe-based I/O virtualization systems which was acquired by FusionIO. Kiran was also part of the founding team of Andiamo, a spin-off that Cisco created to disrupt the storage networking market, and also held senior engineering roles at Nishan Systems, Stoke, and KLA-Tencor.
Kiran holds a degree in MSEE from IIT Bombay (now Mumbai).
