Krishna Rao has a BS in Physics from the University of Calcutta, India and an MBA from the University of Utah.
He joined HP in 1982 as a senior financial analyst rising quickly to become the Manager of HP Corvallis Site Operations in 1990. He then left HP to gain valuable start-up experience by becoming a founding executive with Credence Test
Systems which grew from ‘scratch’in 1994 to over $300M revenue in 1997.
Krishna later served for three years as the CFO and Board member of Mitsubishi Silicon, a $1 Billion global silicon wafer manufacturing business. Attracted again to business development, he served for 6 years as the COO and Board member of Summit Systems, a banking enterprise solution provider where he was a leader in the transformation of the banking industry.
Krishna’s strengths lie in his ability to manage disruptive technologies in a fast changing market place. In all his past positions, he has been successful in managing hyper growth in a competitive business environment.
Currently, he serves on the Boards of Visionary Mobile Corporation, Nonpareil Solutions and Solar Joule. He is also actively involved in supporting the commercialization activities at Oregon State University
