Laurie Tolson is the executive vice president of global research and development for Ventyx, bringing more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale, global software development teams and taking industry-changing technology to market.
Tolson joins Ventyx from Dell, where she was Vice President, Software Engineering – responsible for
leading a large, global team and driving all enterprise software-engineering initiatives across the company.
Prior to this, she was Vice President, Java Software Group at Sun Microsystems, responsible for delivering all Java solutions for Sun's enterprise and consumer markets. Under her leadership, Java became the pervasive technology used in 1.8B handsets and 800M PCs.
