Dr. Gu is a medtech industy vetern with experiences setting up and leading franchises for multi-national companies. Hisexpertise covering dental implant, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, sleep apnea and patient wound care. At Cenova, Dr. Gu specializes in device and healthcare service investments, and he is current the CEO of Amsino Medical,
a Cenova portfolio company.
Prior to Cenova, Dr. Gu was the General Manager for Nobel Biocare China, a leading global dental implant company. Before that, Dr.Gu was the Managing Director of Philips Respironics. During his tenure (2005-2009), Respironics became the market leader in China in the sleep apnea markets. Prior to Philips, Dr. Gu was the General Manager of DePuy (2003-2005) at J & J Medical China, the Franchise Head of Cordis at J & J Medical China, and the Director of global product management at Cordis U.S. (1997-2002). During his tenure at DePuy and Cordis, Dr. Gu and his team drove the sales to number-one in China. Earlier in his career, Dr. Gu was a Marketing Manager of Zimmer China (1994-1997), responsible for the Eastern China Market.
Dr. Gu is the deputy chairman of the standing committee of the medical device branch of Chinese Stomatology Association (CSA) and member of the editorial board for "China Spine". Currently, Dr. Gu also serves as an expert and advisor on committees for Chinese government that oversees regulation and policies on medical device industry.
