Logan Sugarman is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and builder best known as the Founder and CEO of Refresh, an HR technology platform revolutionizing how organizations engage and support their employees. With more than twenty years of experience spanning Wall Street, climate technology, and enterprise software, he has dedicated his career to
creating ventures that merge data, logistics, and human behavior to drive meaningful and measurable results.
Founded in 2007, Refresh is a customizable all-in-one SuperApp designed to unify tools, benefits, and communication systems for global workforces, particularly frontline and deskless employees. The platform personalizes each user’s experience based on role, employment type, and geography, ensuring access to relevant and valuable resources. Many corporations manage hundreds of tools, with HR teams frequently adding new ones—creating inefficiencies that cost over $100 billion in management time, deprive employees of $400 billion in value, and lead vendors to lose $50 billion in potential revenue. Under his leadership, Refresh has become a trusted platform for Fortune 500 companies, major unions, and nonprofit organizations, offering more than 3,000 integrations across HR, payroll, and learning systems.
In 2025, SHRM selected Refresh as one of three companies out of more than 500 applicants for its Accelerator Program and made a strategic investment, recognizing the company’s innovative role in employee engagement and workplace wellness. The platform has also been honored by Accenture’s Global HR Technology Challenge and has formed partnerships with HUB International and UKG.
Logan also co-founded Triangle Digital, Inc., a company linking big data with financial assets to support climate resilience. The company received Environmental Finance’s 2025 Innovation of the Year in Carbon Markets and recognition from Brazil’s Central Bank for its Blended Finance solution.
As Co-Founder and CIO of Balcony Partners, an SEC-registered investment advisory firm managing $100 million in assets, he focuses on quantitative strategies and clean energy investments. He also sponsors two Nasdaq-listed SPACs, GSR III and GSR IV.
An active early-stage investor with more than 100 angel investments, he also advises several startups. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University with degrees in Economics and Psychology, he has been a CFA Charter Holder since 2004.
Originally from Minnesota, Logan Sugarman now lives in New York with his wife and daughter, continuing to build ventures that empower people and shape the future of work.
