Mang Chen was born in Chengdu (Sichuan Province) in 1960. He startet to learn German language self-taught at the age of 18.
After coming to Germany in 1988, Mang Chen established the CAISSA Touristic (Group) AG in 1993 in the city of Hamburg. After 21 years of development, CAISSA Touristic developed to be an international travel business which
incorporates more than 3000 employees in 26 branches worldwide. In 2000 CAISSA Touristic was appointed by World Expo Committee to be the first official Sales Agent for EXPO-Tickets in China. Since 2007 the enterprise is yearly coordinating the Chinese State Reception in Europe. In 2012 CAISSA Touristic was the official sales agent for the Olympic Games in London. In 2015 CAISSA Touristic will also be the official sales agent for EXPO in Milan.
In 2003 Mang Chen founded the Chinese newspaper "Europe Times". It is up to now the largest private newspaper in Chinese language in Europe. In the same year he also established the Training Institute for Chinese speaking Tour guides in Europe, which has trained thousands professional Chinese tour guides in cooperation with 13 European tourist bureaus.
In 2014 Mang Chen initiated the European Federation of Chinese Tourism, which is an umbrella association of Chinese tourist organizations of 16 European countries with more than 150 members. The goal is to coordinate and promote Chinese tourism in Europe, to represent the interests of Chinese tourists in Europe and to communicate with the EU and the Chinese government. Mang Chen is the first chairman of the Federation.
