Marco Bitran was born in Brazil and moved to the US when he was 3. He attended public school in Brookline, MA and then attended MIT for university. Marco graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Economics and Mechanical Engineering. He then worked at Qualcomm in both Israel and San Diego, and then Morgan Stanley in Menlo
Park, CA and Boston, MA. Marco Bitran then attended Harvard Business School and graduated in 2003. He worked at Wellington Management for several years.
He started a real estate business with his wife in 2010 called Origin Property Group and it has grown considerably. They own property in Boston, Worcester, Fall River, Everett and New Bedford (cities in MA). Several of his friends are investors -- many of them are senior managers at private equity funds in Boston, or successful entrepreneurs. Sample projects: They have partnered with a developer to build 85 units in Everett in a building called The 600. They have partnered with Madison Park (an affordable housing developer) and the Urban League of Massachusetts (a non-profit) to build 65-unit in Nubian Square, Boston MA.
Marco has a wife and two children, who are 14 &11. He is very lucky to have a wonderful family. He is an avid pilot and fly non-profit missions for Angel Flight and PALS (Patient Airlift Services). They fly medical patients that are in need to medical care but that live far from city centers, and who can not afford to fly (or are immuno-compromised).
He is also an active athlete - running, cycling, swimming, etc.
