Mark Puckett retired from Chevron in 2008 after a 35-year career. He joined Chevron in 1973 and served in a number of engineering, drilling and operations management positions in the Gulf of Mexico, the Permian Basin and the San Joaquin Valley.
In 2001, he was named president of Chevron’s Energy Technology Company, responsible for managing the
company’s R&D programs and technology resources across all business segments. He served on Chevron’s Management Committee from 1997-2008 and the Upstream & Gas Leadership Team from 2001-2008.
He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and is a director of Concho Resources, Inc., where he serves on the Audit and Compensation Committees. Additionally, he has served as a director of various professional, civic and educational organizations.
He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and completed the Tuck Executive program at Dartmouth College.
