Mark Gerson, a New York–based entrepreneur and philanthropist, is the co-founder of Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), 3I Members and other businesses. He is the co-founder and Chairman of United Hatzalah, the crowd-sourced system of volunteer first response that enables Israelis to be treated within the moments separating life from death
following any medical trauma with more than 7,000 trained medics across Israeli society. He is also the co-founder and Chairman of African Mission Healthcare, which enables Christian medical missionaries to provide clinical care, training, and medical infrastructure for people throughout Africa where he and his wife, Rabbi Erica Gerson, made the largest gift ever to Christian medical missionaries.
A graduate of Williams College and Yale Law School, Mark is the author of the national bestseller The Telling: How Judaism’s Essential Book Reveals the Meaning of Life. Mark’s articles and essays on subjects ranging from Frank Sinatra to the biblical Jonah to the Torah and science of clothing have been published in The New Republic, USA Today, Commentary, and Christian Broadcast Network.
