Mark Golkowski is associate professor of electrical engineering at the University of Colorado Denver. Before moving to Colorado, Dr. Golkowski completed his PhD (2009) and MS (2004) at Stanford University and BS (2002) at Cornell University. For his PhD research Dr. Golkowski used the HAARP facility in Alaska to probe near-Earth space with very low
frequency waves. He has expertise in electromagnetic waves, near Earth space sciences, and plasma physics. His research group at CU Denver conducts fundamental and applied research funded by the National Science Foundation and Department of Defense. Dr. Golkowski is also co-founder of Sterifre Medical which exploits plasmas for disinfection and wound treatment in the medical field.
