Mark Jennings is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Generation Partners, a private equity firm that provides growth capital to technology-enabled services companies through buyout and minority equity investments. Mark has been an active private equity investor for 25 years and is responsible for the strategic direction, capital commitments and
management of the firm.
Prior to founding Generation in 1995, Mark was a General Partner at Centre Partners, a private investment firm affiliated with Lazard Frères & Co. Mark began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co. where Mark advised companies in the areas of financial strategy, public offerings, mergers & acquisitions and leveraged buyouts.
In addition to Captivate Network, Mark has served on the Board of Directors of over 25 companies, including Virtual Radiologic Corporation (VRAD) – a leading teleradiology provider which is transforming the practice of interpreting diagnostic images; Ventiv Health (VTIV) — a leading provider of sales, marketing and data services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries; MedVance Institute — a specialty education company, focused on allied health degrees and career training; Agility Recovery Solutions — a leading business continuity provider; Sterling Infosystems — a leading employment screening company; and Post University, a 120+ year old regionally-accredited university offering Associates, Bachelors and Masters Degrees.
Mark earned his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1986 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Highest Honors from The University of Texas at Austin in 1984.
