SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR, STRATEGY CONSULTANT, CORPORATE EXECUTIVE, ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROFESSOR, AND AUTHOR.
A serial entrepreneur, corporate executive, a former entrepreneurship professor at Concordia College Alabama, and strategic management consultant, Peterson has over twenty-five years of
entrepreneurial and strategic consulting experience. Peterson is currently the Managing Executive for Ceyero Consulting (“Ceyero”), a boutique business strategy management-consulting firm specializing in family-owned businesses and start-ups in the telecommunications, financial services, and mobile technology sectors. Peterson is also the Chief Operating Officer at Cyber Clipboard, an identity management and credentialing startup based in Atlanta, Georgia. Peterson is a 1991 Dartmouth College graduate and a 1995 graduate of the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Peterson studied the methodology of Sun Tzu, author of The Art of War in the writing of his book, Guerrillapreneur: Small Business Strategy For Davids Wanting To Defeat Goliaths (“Guerrillapreneur”). Guerrillapreneur is the combination of the words “Guerrilla” and “Entrepreneur,” and is the name given to small business executives who leverage the benefits of the new “shared economy” to defeat larger corporate Goliaths. After publishing the book, Peterson launched the Guerrillapreneur Podcast to show the maverick entrepreneurs who are seeking to disrupt their markets. The Guerrillapreneur Podcast is heard in 15 countries and counts several high profile CEOs among his listeners. Peterson speaks and writes on various topics related to entrepreneurship, economic development, and strategic planning. He is a frequent guest on Black Belt area radio stations and has had his work featured in several publications including YFS Magazine. Before Ceyero, Peterson co-founded and was the former CEO of PrideRock Holding Company, Inc., a leading biometric and criminal history screening company. Along with his business partner, Mitch Duitz, Peterson launched PrideRock in 2002 from their respective garages and grew the business to a $20 million annual run-rate. In 2011, Peterson and Duitz completed the sale of the business to Corelogic, a spin-off from First American. During his time with First American, Peterson served as the Business Line Executive in charge of biometric screening and President in charge of North American Screening Services. Prior to co-founding PrideRock Holding Company, Inc., Peterson worked as the Vice President of Emerging Markets at ChoicePoint, Inc. (an Equifax spin-off) where he was in charge of the company’s business incubator and accelerator. Peterson also spent six years as a strategy consultant with Andersen Consulting’s (now Accenture) Strategic Services practice where he specialized in strategy and business process improvement initiatives for retail, packaged goods, utilities, financial services companies, and eCommerce security. Peterson’s entrepreneurial experience dates back to his elementary school days, where he launched a successful lawn care business by re-selling contracts to third-party vendors. Peterson co-founded a business and political magazine in high school called ENFORM. ENFORM reached a peak of 1,000 subscribers. Peterson continued his entrepreneurial endeavors at Dartmouth College where he launched two entrepreneurial ventures: Le Noir Style, a retail reseller that distributed health & beauty-aid products to New England Area colleges; and LNS Food Services, a mobile food vending and delivery service.
