Martin Brown was named Chief Business Officer for Elcelyx in March 2010. Mr. Brown was previously an executive officer and Senior Vice President at Amylin Pharmaceuticals most recently as head of Human Resources and Corporate Services and previously as head of Operations. During his tenure in senior leadership positions, Amylin grew from 36
full-time employees and a market cap of $25 million to over 1,100 employees and a market cap of more than $4 billion with two approved and launched first-in-class products. Prior to joining Amylin, Mr. Brown was Director, Information Systems, Europe, for Eli Lilly and Company. He served in various information management positions during his more than ten years with Lilly. Prior to joining Lilly, he held various management positions with General Signal Corporation during a fourteen year career. Mr. Brown is a founding Board member of Equinox Center, an environmentally focused non-profit in San Diego.
Mr. Brown received a B.S. in Commerce and Engineering and an MBA in Operations Research from Drexel University.
