Marvin Walker started down the road of an Entrepenuer soon after discharging from the United States Marine Corps where he served for 4 years. He was just 25 years old when he launched his artist management and Record company where he and his team of song writers have penned hits for artist like Alecia Keys, Mary J Blige and Charlie Wilson to name a
few. He would go on to be nominated for several Grammy awards and sold over 800,000 R&B and gospel albums independently whilst topping several music charts before becoming one of the go to marketing guys for record labels like Def Jam Atlantic and Interscope. In 2008 the real estate market crash brought the record industry to a stand still and walker quickly had to reconsider his career path. One day while reading the Millionaire Mind by Thomas Stanley and William Danko walker would get the insight needed for his next endeavor. While listening the audio book, Walker distinctively heard the author say that if you want to make millions and hold on to it you want to work in Industries that whether the economy was doing good or doing bad these industries still thrive, and thus started his logistic endeavors. Marvin bought his first of many cargo vans he would buy over the years and incorporated his company before starting to transport items as an independent contractor for some of the biggest courier companies. It wasn’t long before walker realized that what he read was true and found a passion for this industry. Over the years walker has transported everything from auto parts, furniture, electronics, medical supplies to time sensitive items like blood. It was with the American Red Cross his biggest client that he realized the opportunities that lay hidden in the medical transportation industry. After losing a 5 Million dollar contract walker quickly realized he needed to be in control of his destiny. He wanted to own the accounts and no longer sub-contract. It’s at that point in 2017 he sold his home on a plush golf course and emptied out his retirement account to developed one of his many platforms. his medical Uber platform Day Kare Transport has since secured several multi-million dollar contracts with national accounts that span across most of the 50 states. The road has not been all straight and narrow but none the less his tenacity and stick to attitude has enabled him to bounce back when the chips were down and its that consistency that has earned him the title of a successful business man.
