McKay Featherstone, 43, is Vice President of Product Development & Engineering at Airstream, Inc., which has produced the world’s most iconic travel trailers since 1931. Since its inception, the Airstream “silver bullet” has occupied a unique place in the hearts and minds of Americans. In recent years Airstream has experienced a global
resurgence fueled by updated and innovative product designs, enhanced distribution, and brand collaborations.
McKay has been in his current role since April, 2015. McKay has crafted business strategy and driven product development programs to significantly expand product offerings for both towable and motorized Airstreams. He has a love for the Airstream mission and a passion for creating amazing experiences for Airstream customers.
Prior to his tenure with Airstream, McKay served as Vice President of Marketing at Evenflo, Inc, a leader in helping simplify parent’s lives and keeping children safe. McKay began his working career at Thomson Consumer Electronics, where he served in a variety of roles including Mechanical, Electrical, Acoustical and Systems Integration design and management.
McKay has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette where he graduated with Highest Distinction and an MBA from Indiana University at Indianapolis where he was Valedictorian. McKay lives in the amazingly great Tipp City, OH, with his wife, Diana, and their two children Madison and Davis.
