Michael C. Arnold is leading the transformation of Ryerson by expanding the business into new markets and focusing on complete, value-added solutions for customers as well as improving the overall performance of the company.
Mr. Arnold joined Ryerson in January of 2011, following more than three decades at The Timken Company. While at Timken,
Mr. Arnold served as executive vice president and president of the Bearings and Power Transmission Group, the largest business group within the company. He also provided leadership in the areas of technology, quality and the geographic entities outside North America.
Mr. Arnold serves on the board of directors of AGCO Corporation, is a Director on The University of Akron Foundation, as well as a member of The University of Akron’s Engineering Advisory Council, President of the Crown Colony Board of Governors and serves on the Executive Committee of the Metals Service Center Institute.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Sales and Marketing, both from The University of Akron, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.
