While in college in New York, Michael cofounded ETM - an ATM for movies in airport terminals. ETM received a seed investment and Michael dropped out of school in his senior year. He then co-founded and was CEO of Chalkable, a web based platform for the K-12 education market. The company was accepted into 500 Startups and went on to raise more than
$1M in venture funding. Chalkable was ultimately acquired by Powerschool with 1.2 million paid users across the US.
Next he focused on robotics. He co-founded Trike, a self-driving delivery platform in August of 2015 with Eugene Zasoba, a Ukrainian computer science professor. Michael and Eugene then co-founded SOMATIC to build bathroom cleaning robots for office buildings. SOMATIC received investment and participated in HAX in Shenzhen China, where the team lived for 4 months. SOMATIC is currently in the W20 batch of YCombinator in Mountain View California.
