Michael Pavia is the CEO of ULTSafety. He was the Chief Technology Officer of Glori Energy and was a CTO at Millennium Pharmaceuticals.
Before joining Glori, Dr. Pavia was Entrepreneur-in-Residence with the venture capital firm Oxford Bioscience Partners from 2002-to 2010.
Before joining Oxford, Dr. Pavia was Chief Technology Officer at
Millennium Pharmaceuticals, where his major focus was to improve the productivity of the drug discovery and development process through the appropriate use of new technologies.
Dr. Pavia has over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and discovery. He was formerly Vice President-Cambridge Research at Sphinx Pharmaceuticals, a division of Eli Lilly & Co., focusing on the development of combinatorial chemistry technologies.
Before Sphinx, Dr. Pavia held senior scientific positions in the Department of Chemistry at the Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Research Division of Warner-Lambert with a focus on drugs for the central nervous system. He serves on the boards of Azevan Pharmaceuticals, Selventa, and Segterra.
Dr. Pavia holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Lehigh University and a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
