Michael is an accomplished executive and both a pioneer and expert in the area of cyber security.Michael commenced his technical contributions at an early age in several notable endeavors including the position of Computer Security and Forensics Analyst for the White House.
He then contributed to the development of the first commercial intrusion
detection device for the Wheelgroup Corporation. This product would revolutionize the industry resulting in the Wheelgroup being acquired by Cisco and becoming a basis for their security offerings. Michael proceeded to contribute to Cisco resulting in several US patents.He then went on to co-found Plesk, which was successfully acquired by SW Soft (now Parallels), a company in which he is a significant shareholder of today.
Michael subsequently co-founded The Prometheus Group along with its subdivisions GotRoot Labs, and Atomicorp. GotRoot and Atomicorp are noted for numerous first technology developments in the field.Michael has provided consulting expertise to numerous US government agencies and commercial entities. His expertise includes regulation and technology with sub-specialties in risk management, regulatory affairs, security services, and technology development.
He is the co-author of several federal publications, including Regulatory Guide 5.71, "CYBER SECURITY PROGRAMS FOR NUCLEAR FACILITIES". He also co-wrote "Troubleshooting Linux Firewalls" with Atomicorp's CTO, Scott Shinn.
