Michael is one of the original four founders of VenGrowth’s retail funds,and was one of the three partners on VenGrowth’s Operating Committee, which oversaw the firm’s day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
With 17 years of experience in private equity and eight years in investment banking, Michael assisted investees with funding
requirements and coached them through their growth phases. He had been instrumental in numerous company exits and successful turnarounds. Michael routinely contributed his expertise to investees in setting strategic direction, developing operating budgets, recruiting management, and developing financing and exit strategies.
Before joining VenGrowth, Michael co-founded a corporate finance firm, and was a member of the Corporate Finance Department at Nesbitt Thomson Deacon Inc. He was also a Board Member and member of the executive committe of the Canadian Venture Capital Association.
Michael holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Chicago.
