Mr. Carroll has served as a director of the general partner of WES since April 2008, and currently serves as Chairman of the special committee of the board of directors. He also currently serves as Chairman of Houston-based CenterPoint Energy, Inc., where he has been a director since 1992. Mr. Carroll is Chairman and founder of Instrument Products,
Inc., an oil-tool manufacturing company in Houston, Texas. He also serves as Chairman of Health Care Services Corporation (a Chicago-based company operating through its Blue Cross and Blue Shield divisions in Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico) and as a director of Halliburton Company, LyondellBasell Industries N.V. and LRR Energy, L.P. Mr. Carroll holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Texas Southern University.
