Mitchell Kokko is a General Partner and Investment Committee Member at Valley Capital Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in enterprise technologies and the Managing Director of Valley Capital Management, LLC. He leads the firm's day-to-day operations, managing the investment team, diligence pipelines, and firm growth.
Current active portfolio and angel investments include NanoCo (creators of NanoClaw), TensorMesh, Upriver, Decart, AIM Security (acquired by Cato Networks), Factify, Abacus Wealth Tech, Beehive AI, Paxel.ai, SciFin, RapidCanvas, Cato Networks, Indie Semiconductor and Canotera.
Prior to Valley Capital, Mitchell spent five years as a Principal and Investment Committee Member at the University of Notre Dame’s Pit Road Fund from 2017 until being recruited by Steve O'Hara to partner with him at Valley Capital Partners. While investing for Notre Dame, Mitchell oversaw a portfolio of 43 companies, where he sourced or led investments and diligence with notable deals including Madison Reed (Series F led by Norwest Venture Partners), SageSpot (Seed led by Khosla Ventures), Lucata (Series B led by Orbit Venture Partners), Resonado Labs (Series A led by Crush Ventures), Atlas 3D (Acquired in 2020 by Siemens) and SIMBA Chain (Series A led by Valley Capital Partners).
Prior to joining the Notre Dame Pit Road Fund, Mitchell served as a Product Lead for Ecwid (acquired by Lightspeed) and co-founder of three startups (Xstudia, Minerva International Advising, the Rubin Cafe).
Mitchell holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame (Mendoza College of Business) and from Culver Academies (Culver Military Academy, Ron Rubin School for the Entrepreneur).
