Moshe has been active in the Israeli high-tech industry since its early days, and has 25 years of management experience in the international arena. Prior to joining DFJ TFV in 2005, Moshe was a partner at Pitango Venture Capital, Israel’s largest VC, and led new investments focusing on companies in the communications space, wire line and wireless
infrastructure.
He was supporting many of these companies throughout their buildup and market penetration; among others he served on the Board of Directors of Phonetic Systems (as Co-Chairman; the company was acquired by Nuance Communications -Nuan), RADWIN, iamba (acquired by Marvell Technology – MRVL) and Serconet (Chairman). Moshe currently serves on the boards of Zon Networks, Coppergate Communications, Expand Networks and Sagitta (Chairman).
Before joining Pitango in late 1999, Moshe was the President of ESC Medical Systems Inc., the world pioneer of aesthetic and medical laser systems. Prior to that, he served as President and CEO of Orbotech, Inc., the world leader in optical inspection systems for Printed Circuit Board and Flat Panel Display industries and brought them over $100m revenues. He also served as the President of Fibronics International Inc., the first communications company to introduce FDDI (high-speed fiber-optic) networks.
Moshe holds a B.Sc degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Computer Science from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel. Married and has 3 children.
For Moshe, technology is not just a profession but an obsession. He finds satisfaction in helping his kids to create music and edit movies online rather than the other way around.
