He joined Cisco in 2007 when it acquired IronPort Systems, where he served as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Prior to joining IronPort, he served as Vice President of File Systems & Services at Network Appliance Inc. Previously his career included roles at Silicon Graphics and Apollo Computer. He has over twenty five years of engineering and engineering management experience. Bitar graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor of arts degree.
