Nikhil got his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering with a minor in Technology and Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In the summer of 2006, he joined an early stage startup called One Llama Media, Inc., founded by fellow students from University of Illinois and Computer Scientists from the National Center for
Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), and was soon made co-founder. One Llama specializes in music recommendations and was acquired by UrFilez.
In the summer of 2009, along with Jared Tame and Teng Siong Ong, he co-founded GraffitiGeo, Inc. GraffitiGeo is a company that builds location based apps for mobile phones. One of GraffitiGeo’s apps was featured on multiple blogs as being one of the first Augmented Reality apps for restaurant recommendations. GraffitiGeo is funded by Y-Combinator, and was acquired by Loopt, Inc.
