Per Wold-Olsen joined the Board in January 2010 after serving as the Chair of the Company’s Health Policy Advisory Board since 2007. From 2005 to 2006, he served as President of the Human Health Intercontinental Division of Merck & Co., Inc., a global pharmaceutical company.
From 1997 until 2005, he served as President of Human Health
Europe, Middle East/Africa and Worldwide Human Health Marketing for Merck. Wold-Olsen is currently Chairman of the Board of GN Store Nord A/S. He also serves as a director of Exiqon A/S and Novo A/S.
Wold-Olsen is Vice Chair of the Board of the Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), a non-profit initiative dedicated to the discovery, development and delivery of new medicines for the treatment of malaria.
